Kiyan Anthony, the 6-foot-5, 185-pound son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, has committed to play college basketball at Syracuse University. The four-star guard, ranked among the top 40 players nationally and the No. 1 prospect in New York in the 2025 recruiting class, announced his decision on November 15 during an episode of his father's podcast, "7PM in Brooklyn", co-hosted by The Kid Mero. With both his parents, Carmelo and La La Anthony, present, Kiyan expressed his desire to create his own legacy, stating, "I want to go in there and create my own name." By choosing Syracuse, he follows in the footsteps of his father, whose No. 15 jersey hangs in the rafters of the JMA Wireless Dome. His commitment bolsters Coach Adrian "Red" Autry's 2025 recruiting class, which is now ranked in the top five nationally.
