Tony Todd, the American actor renowned for his iconic role in the 'Candyman' horror franchise, has died at the age of 69. He passed away on Wednesday at his home in Marina Del Rey, California, after a long illness, though the cause of death was not disclosed. Todd's extensive career spanned four decades, with notable performances in films such as 'Platoon', 'The Crow', 'Final Destination', 'Transformers', 'The Rock', and the 'Night of the Living Dead' remake. On television, he appeared in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and 'Deep Space Nine' as Kurn, portrayed Zoom in 'The Flash', and recently voiced Venom in 'Marvel's Spider-Man 2' video game. Virginia Madsen, his co-star in 'Candyman', paid tribute, saying, 'The great actor Tony Todd has left us and now is an angel. As he was in life. More later but I can’t right now. I love you.'
