Jan 17, 2025, 09:15 PM
The Tennessee Titans have officially announced the hiring of Mike Borgonzi as their new general manager. Borgonzi, previously the assistant general manager for the Kansas City Chiefs, replaces Ran Carthon who was fired on January 7. With 16 seasons of experience with the Chiefs, including his role as assistant GM in 2021, Borgonzi contributed to four AFC championships and three Super Bowl victories in five years. The Titans conducted a thorough search, interviewing 10 candidates, including six in-person interviews. Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk praised Borgonzi's experience and expressed excitement about his potential to build a championship standard in Tennessee. Borgonzi will work closely with Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker, who also commended Borgonzi's role in transforming the Chiefs into a successful franchise. Borgonzi inherits a team with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and approximately $44 million in cap space.
