VisitThree Students, Including Two Girls, Die in Delhi Coaching Centre Flooding
Jul 27, 2024, 06:47 PM
Three students, including two girls and one boy, died and several others were trapped after the basement of a coaching institute in Delhi's Old Rajendra Nagar was flooded following heavy rains. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and fire department teams were deployed for rescue operations. The incident occurred at Rau's IAS Coaching Centre, where the basement quickly filled with water, leading to the tragic deaths. Delhi Police have registered a criminal case and detained two persons in connection with the incident. Delhi Minister Atishi has directed the Chief Secretary to initiate a magisterial inquiry and provide a report within 24 hours. Protests erupted outside the coaching institute, with students blaming the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for negligence.
