A fire broke out at the Ember Hotel near Bangkok's popular Khao San Road, resulting in the deaths of three foreign tourists and injuries to seven others. The victims were identified as a Brazilian woman, a Ukrainian man, and an American man. The fire started on the fifth floor of the six-story hotel, which was hosting 75 guests at the time. Four individuals were hospitalized, with one in critical condition. Additionally, two Japanese nationals were reported to be unconscious. The incident has prompted a temporary closure of the hotel and an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire. Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has emphasized the importance of safety as New Year's Eve celebrations approach.
