Three Deputies and Suspect Shot in Illinois Gunfight Wednesday Afternoon

Three sheriff’s deputies were shot Wednesday afternoon while responding to a home near Dixon, Illinois. The incident occurred after authorities received a report that someone inside the home was threatening to kill themselves or others. The suspect was also wounded during the gunfight. Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle confirmed the injuries and stated that the deputies were responding to a critical incident. The situation unfolded in a northwest Illinois town outside of Dixon.
