Three individuals have been charged with offences under the National Security Act as part of an investigation led by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command, with support from the North East and South East Counter Terrorism Policing Units. The charges, announced on May 13, are related to an alleged plan to attack the Jewish community. Two of the accused have appeared in court on May 14, facing accusations of plotting an Islamic State-inspired marauding gun attack against the Jewish community in the North West.
