Visit'The Batman: Part II' Delayed to October 1, 2027, Originally Slated for October 2, 2026, Filming Begins Late Summer 2025
Dec 27, 2024, 06:28 PM
Warner Bros. has officially delayed the release of 'The Batman: Part II' by one year to October 1, 2027. Originally scheduled for October 2, 2026, the sequel to the 2022 film 'The Batman' will now see a five-year gap between the two installments. The delay comes as the studio adjusts its release schedule, with the untitled film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and starring Tom Cruise now taking the October 2026 slot. Filming for 'The Batman: Part II' is set to begin in late Summer 2025. James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, stated that the delay is primarily due to the script not being fully completed, emphasizing that director Matt Reeves is focused on delivering the best possible film.
