Thailand Blocks 816 Tonnes of Toxic Waste Shipment from Albania

Thai authorities are urgently working to prevent approximately 100 shipping containers, allegedly filled with hazardous industrial waste from Albania, from reaching the country's ports. The Department of Industrial Works is collaborating with various agencies to monitor and stop the illegal import of 816 tonnes of electric arc furnace dust, following alerts from NGOs like the Basel Action Network, Friends of the Earth, and EARTH. The containers, initially bound for Thailand, are now being redirected back to Europe.
