Thailand has officially accepted Russia's invitation to become a partner country of BRICS, as announced by the Thai Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nikhondet Phalangkun. The spokesperson emphasized that acquiring this status is a crucial step for Thailand, stating that membership in BRICS will enhance the country's trade, investment, and food and energy security. This decision aligns Thailand with the BRICS nations, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, among others.
