Patrick stated that he has a billion dollars available for this initiative, expressing support for Texas's resistance against federal policies. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Biden administration is auctioning off border wall building materials, with the intention of clearing them from the border before Christmas. This move follows the cessation of border wall construction by the Biden administration on January 20, 2021. Critics have raised concerns about the sale of materials that taxpayers funded, suggesting it undermines efforts to secure the border. An Arizona border patrol agent mentioned that the goal is to remove all materials from the border by the holiday season.
