Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a renewed partnership with the Trump Administration to enhance border security, citing the detrimental effects of President Biden's immigration policies. Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, Texas has apprehended over 530,800 illegal immigrants and seized 622 million lethal doses of fentanyl, which officials claim could kill the entire population of North America. Abbott emphasized that Texas law enforcement and National Guard soldiers are working continuously to address illegal immigration. Additionally, a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Lieutenant credited the Trump Administration's policies for improving law enforcement's ability to combat crime at the border.
