VisitTexas Offers Trump 1,400 Acres for Deportation Facilities
Nov 26, 2024, 05:19 PM
Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham has offered the incoming Trump administration over 1,400 acres of land along the Texas-Mexico border to construct facilities for the mass deportation of illegal immigrants. The land was initially acquired in October for building a border wall, but now serves a broader vision under the 'Jocelyn Initiative'. Named after 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, who was murdered by two illegal immigrants, this initiative aims to facilitate the deportation of violent criminals starting on Day 1 of Trump's presidency. The initiative includes plans for a detention facility named after Nungaray, with construction set to begin immediately upon Trump's inauguration.
