Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. and running back Jaydon Blue have both declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, forgoing their remaining college eligibility. Banks, a unanimous All-American and winner of the Lombardi and Outland Trophies, started 42 games for Texas and is expected to be a high draft pick. Blue, who rushed for 730 yards and eight touchdowns, including 146 yards and two touchdowns against Clemson, and also caught 42 passes for 368 yards and six touchdowns, including 59 yards and two touchdowns against Ohio State, is projected as a late-round pick or an undrafted free agent. Blue's notable plays include a 38-yard and a 77-yard touchdown run against Clemson, and an 18-yard and a 26-yard touchdown reception against Ohio State. He is expected to run the 40-yard dash in the 4.3s. Together, Blue amassed 1,098 yards from scrimmage and 14 touchdowns. Both players made their announcements following Texas's loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinal.
