VisitTexas Attorney General Ken Paxton Sues Biden Administration Over 450,000 Questionable Voters
Oct 23, 2024, 03:20 AM
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the Biden-Harris administration, alleging that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has unlawfully refused to verify the citizenship status of potentially ineligible voters on Texas voter rolls. The lawsuit claims that the federal government has not provided the necessary assistance to Texas in assessing the citizenship status of some registered voters, despite the acknowledgment that noncitizen voting is illegal and very rare. Paxton's office has identified around 450,000 potentially questionable voters and had sent a letter to the U.S. administration two weeks ago demanding confirmation of their citizenship status.
