Tesla is preparing to release Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 13, marking a significant advancement in the company's autonomous driving technology. The new version is the first AI4 native build trained using Tesla's Cortex Supercomputer at the Giga Texas facility and utilizes the full input capabilities of Hardware 4. FSD v13 features a 3x increase in model size, 3x increase in model context length, 4.2x data scaling, and 5x training compute scaling compared to previous versions. Early tests indicate a fourfold increase in miles between necessary interventions compared to v12.5.4. The update is set to be released to internal customers by the end of this week, with a public release expected in November.
