Tesla's Cybertruck has emerged as a significant player in the U.S. electric vehicle market, becoming the third best-selling EV in the country during the third quarter of 2024. The company sold 16,692 Cybertrucks, capturing almost 50% market share of electric trucks. The Cybertruck outperformed competitors such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, selling 2.3 times more units, and also surpassed the Ford Mustang Mach-E in overall EV sales. This strong performance signifies Tesla's growing dominance in the electric truck segment, competing against models like the Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC's Hummer and Denali, and Rivian's R1T.
