VisitTesla Rolls Out FSD v13.2 with 5-6x Improvement, Fleet Communication
Nov 30, 2024, 11:04 PM
Tesla Inc. has begun rolling out its Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 13, known as FSD (Supervised) v13.2, to customers. This update marks a significant advancement in Tesla's autonomous driving technology, featuring a 5-6x improvement in miles between necessary human interventions compared to the previous version, FSD v12.5.4. The rollout follows a period where the update was initially distributed to Tesla employees. FSD v13 introduces a new architecture based on the AI4 computers, which are now standard in all new Tesla vehicles, and includes features like fleet communication, allowing vehicles to share data in real-time. The update also incorporates 36 Hz, full-resolution AI4 video inputs and native AI4 inputs with neural network architectures, enhancing the end-to-end driving network. The rollout commenced on November 30, 2024, with Tesla's Cybercab previously showcasing FSD v13 at the Robotaxi unveiling on October 10th. The update is also available for Tesla's Cybertruck, and the AI team has successfully delivered every item on their list within approximately 60 days, utilizing 5X training computer scaling.
