VisitTesla Ramps Up Cybertruck Production at Giga Texas, Deliveries Up 61% to 5,175
Sep 13, 2024, 02:35 PM
Tesla's Giga Texas is ramping up production of the Cybertruck as the third quarter of 2024 comes to a close. New footage reveals hundreds of Cybertrucks at the facility, valued at about $85 million, indicating a significant increase in production. The factory is also installing three large flagpoles, each costing about $60,000, to display the US, Texas, and Tesla flags. In July, Tesla delivered 5,175 Cybertrucks, marking a 61% increase from June, according to S&P Global Mobility. This surge in deliveries helped boost new electric vehicle registrations by 18% in July. The Foundation series Cybertrucks are expected to become the largest volume EV truck on the road this year, surpassing Ford and Rivian's sales figures from last year.
