Nov 4, 2024, 05:34 PM
Tesla has made significant strides in its energy storage solutions, recently reaching a milestone with the production of its 10,000th Megapack at its Lathrop, California Megafactory. This achievement comes as the company has secured a new $200 million contract in New South Wales, Australia, to supply two battery energy storage systems (BESS), each with a capacity of 200 MW/400 MWh. Construction for these projects is set to begin in mid to late 2025. Over the past 1.5 years, Tesla has amassed approximately $4.2 billion in new Megapack orders in Australia, highlighting the country's growing importance in Tesla's energy strategy. Additionally, Tesla has sent 18 mobile Powerwall units to North Carolina and is working on five more units, further expanding its energy product offerings.
