Tesla Inc. has launched a revamped version of its Model Y electric vehicle in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and mainland Europe, with deliveries set to begin in March. The updated Model Y, which was first introduced in China earlier this month, features a starting price of $59,990 in the U.S. and includes enhancements such as improved aerodynamics for better range and performance, updated wheels, tires, and brakes, and a retuned suspension for a smoother ride. The interior has been refined with ambient lighting, ventilated seats, power-folding second-row seats, and a quieter cabin with acoustic glass and invisible speakers. The new model also boasts enhanced connectivity and Full Self-Driving capabilities. Named the 'Launch Series', it offers a range of up to 320 miles, a top speed of 125 MPH, and accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.1 seconds. It is available for lease at $599 per month. This launch comes as Tesla aims to reverse its first annual sales decline in over a decade, amid intensified competition in the electric vehicle market.
