VisitTesla Begins Delivering Cybertruck, Opens Orders for $79,999 Model Amid High Demand
Oct 4, 2024, 04:04 AM
Tesla has begun delivering its Cybertruck pickups, starting with the first dozen units in November, two years behind the original schedule. The company has also opened orders for a more affordable 'non-Foundation' series Cybertruck priced at $79,999. This new model is expected to see high demand, with deliveries starting this month. Customers are receiving invitations to design their vehicles, with some reporting prices just under $90,000 for the AWD version, including Full Self-Driving (FSD) for $7,000. The non-Foundation Cybertruck currently qualifies for a $7,500 commercial tax credit in the U.S., but not the individual point-of-sale Federal EV credit. In Massachusetts, the vehicle is priced at $64,990, with additional state and federal tax credits available. VIN numbers are already being assigned, and production has started.
