Team USA secured a gold medal in the mixed 4x100m medley relay at the Paris 2024 Olympics, setting a new world record with a time of 3:37.43. The team, consisting of Ryan Murphy (backstroke), Nic Fink (breaststroke), Gretchen Walsh (butterfly), and Torri Huske (freestyle), narrowly defeated China, which finished with a time of 3:37.55. Australia took the bronze with a time of 3:38.76. This event is only in its second Olympics. In the men's 4x100m medley relay, China, with swimmers Xu Jiayu and Qin Haiyang, won gold with a time of 3:27.46, followed by the USA with 3:28.01, and France with 3:28.38.
