The breach, which occurred between May 2023 and July 2024, exposed sensitive personal details, including Social Security numbers. The incident at TD Bank was identified as an insider breach. This disclosure comes amid a broader cybersecurity concern, as global data breaches reached 31.5 million accounts in the third quarter, with the United States accounting for 8.1 million of these breaches.
