VisitTaysom Hill's 138 Rushing Yards, 3 TDs Propel Saints to 35-14 Win Over Browns
Nov 17, 2024, 08:57 PM
Taysom Hill led the New Orleans Saints to a 35-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns with a historic performance. Hill rushed for 138 yards on seven carries, scoring three touchdowns—including a career-long 75-yard touchdown run—and setting the single-game rushing record for a tight end. He also had a career-high eight receptions for 50 yards and completed one of two passes for 18 yards with an interception. Additionally, Hill returned a kickoff for 42 yards and had a lost fumble. His three touchdowns all came from the Wildcat formation, contributing to 126 rushing yards from that setup, the most in a game since 2016. Hill became the first player in NFL history to record over 100 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, 50 receiving yards, and 10 passing yards in a single game. He is only the second player in the Super Bowl era, after LaDainian Tomlinson in 2002, to have eight or more receptions, 130 or more rushing yards, and three or more rushing touchdowns in a game. Hill also became the only player to have multiple games with over 100 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns on fewer than ten carries. His multifaceted performance made NFL history and was instrumental in the Saints' win over the Browns.
