VisitTaiwan Closes Probe, Finds No Local Involvement in Exploding Pagers Incident Killing Dozens
Nov 11, 2024, 12:33 PM
Taiwan's Justice Ministry Investigation Bureau has concluded its investigation into the exploding pagers incident in Lebanon in September, which resulted in a deadly blow to Iran-backed Hezbollah and killed dozens. The bureau found no evidence that Taiwanese manufacturers or citizens were involved in the production or export of the pagers. Specifically, there were no records of Gold Apollo, a known pager manufacturer, exporting the type of pagers that exploded to Lebanon. The investigation has been officially closed, confirming that domestic firms were not responsible for the incident.
