Synthesia Secures $180M in Series D Led by NEA, Valued at $2.1B for AI Video Avatars

Synthesia, a London-based artificial intelligence startup specializing in AI-generated video avatars for business, has secured $180 million in a Series D funding round led by NEA. The investment has propelled the company's valuation to $2.1 billion, making it one of the UK's largest AI companies by valuation. The platform, which enables enterprises to create lifelike video avatars for corporate communications, has attracted over 60,000 businesses as customers, including more than 60% of the Fortune 100. Synthesia plans to use the new funds to enhance its avatars' realism and expand its presence in markets such as North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
