Swisscom Completes €8 Billion Acquisition of Vodafone Italia, Forming Fastweb + Vodafone, Adjusts Earnings Outlook

Swisscom has received all necessary regulatory approvals to complete its acquisition of Vodafone Italia for €8 billion. The acquisition, which has been finalized earlier than expected, will result in the formation of a new entity called Fastweb + Vodafone. Following the completion of the acquisition, Swisscom has revised its earnings outlook downward. The company is still projecting stable revenue for 2025 despite the changes. The acquisition has also positively impacted the market, with shares of SK Telecom Co., Ltd. rising 5.42% in premarket trading after the sale was completed.
