Sweden to Boost 2025 Justice System Spending by $335 Million to Combat Gang Violence

Sweden's justice minister has announced a significant increase in spending to address the country's high crime rates, including gang violence. The government will allocate an additional 3.46 billion crowns ($335 million) in its 2025 budget to enhance the justice system. This move, announced on Wednesday, comes as Sweden grapples with the highest per-capita rate of gun violence in the European Union. The justice minister warned that it could take a decade or longer to combat the violent crime epidemic, as immigrant drug gangs have infiltrated courts, police, and prisons.
