Supreme Court Grants Bail to BRS Leader K Kavitha in CBI and ED Cases

The Supreme Court has granted bail to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case, which involves both CBI and ED cases. This decision overturns the Delhi High Court's earlier ruling that denied her bail. The court directed Kavitha to provide a bail bond of ₹10 lakhs, surrender her passport, and avoid tampering with evidence or influencing witnesses. Kavitha, who had been in Tihar Jail for five months, was released following the Supreme Court's order. The court criticized the CBI and ED for relying on inferences rather than solid evidence in their investigation. Kavitha is required to appear regularly in the trial court.
