Nov 29, 2024, 05:12 PM
SunFed Produce LLC, an Arizona-based company, has voluntarily recalled its whole fresh cucumbers distributed across 26 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces due to potential salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The recall affects all sizes of SunFed whole cucumbers sold between October 12 and November 26, including those sold at retailers such as Wegmans and Albertsons Companies. The recall also extends to select store-made deli and produce items from Albertsons stores. Federal health officials have linked the cucumbers to salmonella ailments in both the U.S. and Canada. Consumers who purchased the cucumbers are advised to discard them or return them to the place of purchase. The impacted states include Missouri, Kansas, California, Florida, New York, Texas, North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and others.
