At the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, Summit Therapeutics presented groundbreaking data from their Phase 3 HARMONi-2 trial. The trial revealed that ivonescimab, an investigational therapy, significantly outperformed Merck's Keytruda in treating patients with PD-L1 positive advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Ivonescimab demonstrated a median progression-free survival (PFS) of 11.14 months compared to 5.82 months for Keytruda, reducing the risk of disease progression or death by 49% (HR=0.51, p<0.0001).
