VisitSue Mi Terry, Former CIA Analyst, Indicted for Acting as South Korean Agent in Exchange for $37,000 and Luxury Goods
Jul 17, 2024, 12:51 PM
Sue Mi Terry, a former CIA analyst and senior official at the White House National Security Council, has been indicted for allegedly acting as an unregistered agent for the South Korean government. The indictment, unsealed in New York, accuses Terry of advocating for South Korean policy positions, disclosing non-public information, and facilitating access for South Korean intelligence officers in exchange for luxury goods, high-priced dinners, and more than $37,000. Terry, who began her role in June 2013, received items such as Louis Vuitton handbags, a Dolce & Gabbana coat, and meals at Michelin-starred restaurants. Terry, a North Korea expert and senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, failed to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act and conspired to violate the law, according to the Justice Department.
