VisitStudy Finds Microplastics in 100% of Human and Dog Testicles
May 23, 2024, 01:59 PM
A recent study published in the Oxford Academic journal has found a pervasive presence of microplastics in the testicular tissue of both humans and dogs. Researchers examined 47 canine and 23 human testes, discovering microplastics in all samples. The study, conducted by the University of New Mexico, raises concerns about the potential impact of these particles on male fertility and overall health. Microplastics, which are tiny fragments of plastic, have been found in various parts of the body, including the testicles, and are believed to enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and skin contact. The findings suggest a need for further research into the health implications of microplastics and their widespread presence in the environment.
