Stripe to Resume Crypto Payments This Summer, Starting with USDC

Stripe, the global payment processing company, has announced it will resume accepting cryptocurrency payments after a six-year hiatus, starting this summer. The company will initially support USDC stablecoin payments on platforms including Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon, via stablecoins. This move was revealed during the Stripe Sessions conference and further details are expected to be announced by Stripe co-founder and President John Collison. The integration aims to leverage the increased transaction speeds and reduced costs of cryptocurrencies, making them a viable option for everyday transactions.
