VisitStewart-Haas Racing to Cease Operations After 15 Years, Selling Four Charters
May 28, 2024, 08:36 PM
Stewart-Haas Racing, co-owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, has announced it will cease operations at the end of the 2024 NASCAR season. The decision to close the team, which has been a significant presence in NASCAR for 15 years and has won two Cup Series championships, was described as difficult and not made quickly. The team, one of three four-car teams in NASCAR, will be selling its four charters, with potential buyers including Front Row, 23XI, and Trackhouse. In a joint statement, Stewart and Haas cited reaching a point in their personal and business lives where it is time to 'pass the torch.' This marks the end of an era for one of NASCAR's prominent teams.
