May 13, 2024, 04:12 AM
Steve Buscemi, the 66-year-old actor known for roles in 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'Fargo', was randomly attacked in broad daylight while walking in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan. The incident occurred last Wednesday when an unidentified assailant punched him in the face and fled the scene. Buscemi was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for bruising, swelling, and bleeding to his left eye. The assailant is still on the run, and the attack has raised concerns about safety in New York City, following a similar recent assault on actor Michael Stuhlbarg.
