VisitStellantis Recalls 1.46 Million Vehicles Globally Over Brake Software Malfunction
Sep 7, 2024, 05:00 PM
Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, is recalling approximately 1.46 million vehicles worldwide due to a software malfunction in the anti-lock brake system that can disable the electronic stability control, increasing the risk of crashes. In the United States, the recall affects about 1.2 million vehicles, including 1,227,808 Ram 1500 pickup trucks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that dealers will update the anti-lock brake system control module software to remedy the issue. The recall also includes Jeep Wranglers and Jeep Gladiators. The recall affects nearly 1.5 million Ram trucks globally.
