VisitSteelers Sign Head Coach Mike Tomlin to Three-Year Extension Through 2027 on Eve of Minicamp
Jun 10, 2024, 06:05 PM
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed head coach Mike Tomlin to a three-year contract extension, securing his position through the 2027 season. Tomlin, who was entering the final year of his previous contract, is the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL with the same team, having never experienced a losing season in his 17-year tenure. This extension would take him through his 21st season with the Steelers. Steelers President Art Rooney II expressed confidence in Tomlin's ability to guide the team back to winning playoff games and championships. The extension was finalized on the eve of minicamp. If Tomlin finishes out this contract, the Steelers will go 59 seasons with just 3 head coaches.
