Nov 27, 2024, 09:05 AM
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has announced a third aid package worth €2.274 billion to support recovery efforts in regions affected by the DANA storm, including Valencia. The package, which includes 60 measures, aims to accelerate the return to normalcy and focuses on aiding citizens, vehicle restoration, and economic recovery. An extraordinary Council of Ministers meeting is scheduled for Thursday to approve the measures. This new package brings the total government aid for DANA-related damages to over €16.6 billion, following two earlier packages approved on November 5 and 11. Sánchez also warned about the dangers of climate emergency denialism.
