Jun 6, 2024, 12:39 PM
SpaceX's Starship successfully launched its fourth test flight on June 6, 2024, after receiving the necessary launch license from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on June 4. The FAA approval was the final milestone before the launch. The test flight, which began at 7:00 a.m. CT, saw Starship achieving new objectives, including a successful splashdown of the Super Heavy booster in the Gulf of Mexico. This marks the first time the booster has been successfully splashed down. The mission also focused on demonstrating the ability to return and reuse the Starship and Super Heavy systems.
