Nov 15, 2024, 08:53 PM
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell announced at an investor event that the company aims to conduct 400 Starship launches over the next four years. Shotwell, who has long been Elon Musk’s second-in-command, suggested that this increase in launches would run parallel with the Falcon 9 program, which may be retired along with the Dragon spacecraft in the next 6-8 years. Shotwell emphasized the transformative potential of Starship, stating, 'We can't even envision what Starship is going to do to humanity and human lives.' The planned increase in launches is set to occur during President-elect Trump’s second term.
