Nov 25, 2024, 09:42 PM
NASA has selected SpaceX to launch its Dragonfly mission to Saturn's moon Titan in July 2028. The mission, part of NASA's New Frontiers Program, involves a nuclear-powered rotorcraft lander designed to explore Titan's surface. SpaceX will use its Falcon Heavy rocket for the launch, under a contract valued at approximately $256.6 million. Dragonfly, equipped with eight rotors, will function like a large drone, examining dozens of promising locations on Titan, which is the second largest moon in our solar system and is full of mysteries.
