VisitSpaceX Falcon 9 Launches 24 Starlink Satellites, Sets Reusability Record
Dec 4, 2024, 10:19 AM
SpaceX successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 5:13 a.m. EST on Wednesday, marking the 120th Falcon 9 launch of 2024. The Starlink 6-70 mission deployed 24 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. This launch was significant as it was the 24th flight for the Falcon 9 first-stage booster, B1067, setting a new record for rocket reusability. The launch was visible from various locations along Florida's coast, creating a spectacular visual display with the rocket's exhaust remnants catching the morning light, forming noctilucent clouds. The booster landed successfully on the Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship (ASOG) in the Atlantic Ocean.
