SpaceX achieved a significant milestone by completing its 100th launch of 2024, setting a new record for the number of orbital rocket launches in a single year. The milestone was reached with the successful launch of 23 Starlink satellites from Florida on October 15, 2024. This launch followed a series of previous launches, including the 99th launch on October 14, which involved the Falcon Heavy rocket for NASA's Europa Clipper mission. SpaceX's record surpasses its previous high of 96 launches in 2023. In total, the 100 launches in 2024 comprise 95 Falcon 9 missions, 3 Starship missions, and 2 Falcon Heavy missions. Additionally, SpaceX launched its 101st rocket just hours after the 100th, continuing its rapid pace in spaceflight.
