Following the worst air disaster in South Korea's history, acting President Choi Sang-mok has ordered an emergency safety inspection of the country's entire airline operation system. On December 29th, a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 crashed in Muan, killing 179 people. The transport ministry announced on Monday that it will inspect all Boeing 737-800 aircraft in the nation. This decision comes after another Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 had to return to its departure airport due to landing gear problems. Authorities aim to ensure the safety of air travel by thoroughly reviewing aviation systems and the fleet's operational integrity.
