South Korea has placed its military on full readiness amid rising tensions with North Korea. The South Korean military has reported detecting unusual movements and believes that North Korea may be preparing to carry out roadside bombings near the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Images have shown piles of dirt built up next to unusual structures alongside multiple roads connecting to the DMZ, particularly on the Gyeongui Line. South Korean intelligence suggests that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) may carry out military actions or other provocations near the DMZ as early as today. The Chief of Staff has stated that the military is 'fully ready' for any developments.
