VisitSophos to Acquire Secureworks for $859 Million, Dell Technologies to Receive $8.50 per Share

UK-based Sophos has announced its plan to acquire Atlanta-based Secureworks for $859 million in cash. The acquisition aims to accelerate cybersecurity services and technology for organizations worldwide. Secureworks shareholders, including Dell Technologies, will receive $8.50 per share in cash. The deal is expected to enhance AI-driven security solutions and integrate platforms for small, mid, and enterprise customers. Sophos also plans to integrate Secureworks' extended detection and response (XDR) technology into its cybersecurity platform. The acquisition is anticipated to close in early 2025. Dell currently owns approximately 79% of Secureworks.
