VisitSolana Launches 'Blinks' and 'Actions' for Seamless Blockchain Activities, Including NFTs, on Social Media
Jun 25, 2024, 02:47 PM
The Solana Foundation has launched 'Blinks' and 'Actions', innovative features designed to enhance user engagement and interaction within the Solana ecosystem. These features allow users to perform various blockchain activities directly on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) without needing to leave the site. Blinks enable users to buy NFTs, trade memecoins, and even stake tokens seamlessly. Early adopters include leading Solana DEX JupiterExchange, which now allows users to swap tokens directly on X. The launch has been described as a gamechanger for both users and developers, significantly pushing the user experience of blockchains forward. Solana's Head of Ecosystem Engineering, @jnwng, and other key figures in the ecosystem have emphasized the transformative potential of these features. The Helium community, among others, is expected to benefit from this streamlined user experience. Additionally, the launch incorporates ZK compression and Farcaster frames, further enhancing its capabilities. DriftProtocol will also allow users to long/short tokens directly on X. A $60M fund has been announced to support Solana app builders.
