The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) is set to retain power in the Sikkim Assembly elections, leading in 31 out of 32 seats according to the Election Commission of India (ECI). The SKM, led by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, has already won 18 seats and is leading in 13 others. The SKM has also won 11 seats and is leading in 20. The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), led by former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, is trailing significantly, leading in only one seat. The majority mark in the Sikkim Assembly is 17 out of 32 seats. The counting of votes is still underway, with visuals from counting centers in the Soreng district showing a smooth process.
